Euro-crisis and Europe's renewal
European governments have adopted punitive austerity measures in an attempt to come out of the crisis. But what's next? This collective report co-edited with Notre Europelays out the economic and political challenge confronting austerity Europe. In this column, which appeared in Die Welt and the Globe and Mail, I contextualise the rise of technocrats in Greece and Italy.
